Dr María del Mar Mañú-Pereira, ERN-EuroBloodNet Co-Coordinator and Chair representing the 24 European Reference Networks (ERNs), has been invited to take part in the European Health Forum Gastein 2026, taking place from 29 September to 2 October 2026 in Bad Hofgastein, Austria, and online.
Held under the overarching theme "Health for a stronger European Union - High time for action!", this leading European health policy forum brings together policymakers, experts, researchers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to discuss the future of health in Europe. Mar will contribute to the programme with her talk, "Unlocking European competitiveness - How the rare disease ecosystem drives health innovation", highlighting the role of the rare disease ecosystem and the European Reference Networks in driving health innovation and strengthening Europe's health resilience and competitiveness. We encourage all ERN-EuroBloodNet members to join the EHFG 2026 and follow the discussions shaping the future of rare disease care, research and innovation across Europe.
