Attend the International Neurovascular Training Course on Sickle Cell Disease!

Next 30 and 31st of March will be held the "International Neurovascular Training Course on Sickle Cell Disease" in the botanical garden of Padua (Italy).

The scientific directors of the course, Prof. Claudio Baracchini MD, PhD, FESO and Prof. Raffaella Colombatti (ERN-EuroBloodNet expert from AO Padua) have designed an educational plan that aims to feature the state-of-the-art of Transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD): the gold standard to assess blood flow velocities in the vessels of the Circle of Willis in Sickle Cell Disease patients and predict the risk of stroke.

The in-person event will consist of state-of-the-art presentations, intensive transcranial ultrasound workshops, and clinical case-based discussions.

This course counts with the active participation of the ERN-EuroBloodNet. A session entitled "ERN-EuroBloodNet Clinical case discussions" will be chaired by the ERN-EuroBloodNet experts Holger Cario (Ulm University Medical Center (UUMC)) and Maddalena Casale (AOU - University Luigi Vanvitelli). During this session, selected clinical cases sent by participants will be discussed (contact: SCDclinicalcase@drepanocitosi.it).

A maximum of 100 participants will be able to participate! Perform your registration by March 1st and assure your attendance in the course.
