We are proud to announce that the new EuroBloodNet's Topic on focus program is officially launched!

Webinar Program for health professionals named "Topic on Focus: Thrombotic microangiopathies" has been established as a result of fruitful collaboration between EuroBloodNet and the CNR-MAT, the French Reference Center for Thrombotic Microangiopathies, and will start the 3d of March.

EuroBloodNet Topic on Focus webinars encompass a set of comprehensive series of Webinars tackling specific conditions. Topic on Focus: TMAs webinar program consist of 15 session which will take place 1-2 per month on Wednesdays at 4 pm CET via online platform Webex. Every webinar will have also a Q&A session at the end.

The main objective for this program is to disseminate very innovative topics among health professionals in order to give the visibility to the last cutting-edge advances in the field of Thrombotic Microangiopathies. This objective responds not only to the need for in-depth knowledge sharing by international experts of this rare group of diseases, but also to the need to create a repository of comprehensive educational material on all types of Thrombotic Microangiopathies.

The program was also submitted for the accreditation in the frames of CME to European Board in Accreditation in Hematology and it is awaiting approval.

    Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura:

  • TTP and ADAMTS13: Pathophysiology (ADAMTS13-related TTP pathophysiology) provided by Agnès Veyradier 
  • Animal models of TTP provided by Karen Vanhoorelbeke 
  • Diagnostic workup for TTP and TMA syndromes; pitfalls provided by Ygal Benhamou
  • Present and future of TTP treatment provided by Paul Coppo
  • Caplacizumab and treatment of iTTP without plasma exchange provided by Paul Brinkkötter
  • Organ dysfunction in TTP provided by Eric Mariotte
  • TTP in the elderly provided by Jehane Fadlallah
  • TTP in the setting of pregnancy provided by Marie Scully
  • Congenital TTP: diagnosis and future management provided by Johanna Kremer Hovinga Strebel

    Hemolytic uremic syndrome and other thrombotic microangiopathies:

  • Shigatoxin-associated HUS provided by Antoine Dossier 
  • Diagnosis of HUS provided by Eric Rondeau 
  • Management of atypical HUS provided by Jan Menne
