Prof. Dr. Véronique Picard obtained her Pharmacological Degree at the Paris Sud University in 1992. In 1995, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on Medical Biology in hematology. From 1995 to 1999 she was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at the Pr Aiach Lab, Unité INSERM 428, Pr  Aiach, Paris, France [Research project: "Molecular basis of antithrombin deficiency".].

From 2000 to 2010 she held the position of Assistant Professor, Service d'hématologie biologique, HEGP, Paris, France. From 2011 to 2023 she held the position of Head of the Red blood cell disorders Reference Lab, Hematology Lab, Bicêtre Hospital Paris Saclay University, Inserm U935 in France. 

Since 2011 she has held the position of Associate Professor of Hematology, at Paris Saclay University.


Prof. Dr Loïc Garçon obtained his Medical Degree at the Paris 6 University in 2003. In 2008, he defended his Ph.D. thesis focused on the Biology of Blood cells. From 2010 to 2012 he was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at the Dr. Mitchell Weiss Lab, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, USA [Research project: "Modelling Diamond Blackfan Anemia using iPSCs cells".].

From 2012 to 2014 he held the position of Associate Professor, UMR_S938, UMPC-Paris 6, 2012-2014, Pr Luc Douay, France. In 2014 he held the position of Professor, Praticien Hospitalier. CNU section 47-01, Laboratory of Hematology, Centre de biologie Humaine, CHU Amiens, 80054 Amiens Cedex 1, France.

Since 2018 he has held the position of Head of Research Unit EA 4666 HEMATIM. Team «Normal and Pathological Erythropoiesis » CURS, Picardie Jules Verne University, France.
