Speakers: Jens Panse

Jens Panse received his MD degree from the University of Freiburg, Germany, in 1997. From the end of 1999 to 2001 he spent his postdoctoral research fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA. He completed clinical training at the Department of Hematology and Oncology, University Hospital Hamburg- Eppendorf in 2008, followed by his appointment as attending in 2008. In 2009 he became deputy director of the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen. In 2010, he became Managing Medical Director of the Euregional comprehensive Cancer Center Aachen (ECCA) which became the Center for integrated Oncology Aachen (CIOA) in 2018.His research focuses on clinical research in bone marrow failure syndromes (including PNH), mastocytosis, quality of life, infectious diseases in hematology/oncology, lung cancer, and primary CNS lymphoma.
He heads the classical hematology group and the ECNM Center of Excellence at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen.
