The results of two projects promoted by ERN-EuroBloodNet will be presented at the 63RD ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition !

Do not miss the opportunity to stay updated on the results obtained in these two studies focused on Rare Haematological disorders!

In the following days, from 11th to 14th of December will take place the 63rd ASH Meeting, the annual meeting organized by the American Society of Hematology, where the haematological community has the opportunity to perform global networking and to be updated on the last advances in the field of haematology.

This year, two projects carried on in ERN-EuroBloodNet have been selected to be presented during the 2021 edition that will be held online and in-person in Atlanta (USA):

1. Limited Access to Transcranial Doppler Screening and Stroke Prevention for Children with Sickle Cell Disease in Europe: Results of a Multinational Eurobloodnet Survey

The study focused on the analysis of the mapping about the European use of Transcranial Doppler in Sickle Cell Disease paediatric patients has been selected for an oral presentation that will be held next Monday, 13th December at 6:45 PM (ET), and will be presented by Raffaella Colombatti (AO Padua)

2. ERN-EuroBloodNet European Registry of Patients Affected by Red Blood Cell Disorders and COVID-19

The contribution of 42 medical centres from 10 different European countries in the ERN-EuroBloodNet Collaborative Platform on Red Blood Cell and COVID-19 patients has made possible to gather a cohort of 373 patients. The first analysis of the data will be presented in a poster together with a recorded talk provided by Pablo Velasco (Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron). It will be available next Monday 13th December from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (ET).

We invite you all to block both time-slots in your agendas and to share images of the two presentations on social media. Do not forget to include the hashtag #EuroBloodNetinASH2021.

We are thankful for the engagement of the ERN-EuroBloodNet community and we encourage you all to continue the fruitful cooperation in current and future projects focused on Rare Haematological Disorders!
