We are glad to announce that ERN-EuroBloodNet welcomes 36 new full Members!

We now cover 24 out of 27 EU countries, with 96 full members and 7 affiliated partners.

On Friday the 26th of November 2021, the European Reference Networks (ERNs) Board of Member States, as given in the Implementing Decision 2014/287/EU Article 10, has approved the application of 620 new Members. The European Reference Networks have been reinforced from 1 January 2022 enabling the geographical scope of ERNs, allowing patients with rare or complex diseases to have better access to specialised care.

The call for healthcare providers to join the 24 existing ERNs has been opened from the 30th of September to the 30th of November 2019, allowing the submission of 841 applications for new members from healthcare units across the Member States and Norway. For the ERN-EuroBloodNet a total of 40 applications for new members from 12 Member States have been received, among which 36 are approved. Welcome you on board!

Nowadays, ERN-EuroBloodNet covers 24 out of 27 EU countries, with 96 full Members and 7 Affiliated partners.

As it is shown in the previous image related to the actual number of HCPs involved in ERN-EuroBloodNet, the highest number is based in Italy followed by France and Germany. Greece and Finland are the new Member States that will be covered by the ERN devoted to rare hematological diseases.
