ERN-EuroBloodNet European Mapping for management of Venous Thrombosis and Arterial Thrombosis in Pediatric Patients – Open until 30th June!

Is it time for an ERN-EuroBloodNet working group thrombosis? If you treat children with thrombosis, contribute to the mapping

Thromboembolic events are increasingly recognized in children. Nevertheless, pediatric thrombosis is still rare and differs significantly in epidemiology compared to adult thrombosis.

As pediatric thrombosis is a rare disease, and international collaboration is essential to improve research and thus evidence for management, we aim to set up a working group in the non-oncological hub of ERN-EuroBloodNet.

1. As starting point, ERN-EuroBloodNet experts Heleen van Ommen (Erasmus MC: University Medical Center Rotterdam) and Rubén Berrueco, (Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu, Barcelona) are coordinating a European mapping exercise to identify the prevalence, epidemiology and the current management options of these complications across Europe.
2. Furthermore, we are interested in whether you are willing to participate in the future ERN-EuroBloodNet working group thrombosis.

We would really appreciate it if you collaborate on this European mapping. This survey will take you a few minutes and will be open until June 30^th. If you wish to be updated on the results of the analysis and on other related activities in the field, please provide your contact details, alternatively, you can answer anonymously.
