Cayenne Wellness Center and Children's Foundation and the Sickle Cell Community Consortium are hosting the 4th Annual World Sickle Cell Day 2023 24-Hour Sickle Cell-A-Thon, taking place on June 19, 2023. The Sickle Cell-A-Thon is a virtual event consisting of a 24-hour live stream, hosting patients' advocates, physicians, researchers and any stakeholder involved in improving care and life for people living with SCD, sharing knowledge, best practices and experience. The event aims to provide visibility to Sickle Cell Disease, a rare blood life-long condition affecting millions worldwide.

The ERN-EuroBloodNet represented by the co-coordinator of the Network Béatrice Gulbis has presented for WSCD from 2:00 am-2:45 am EST/8 am-8:35 am CEST the ERN's multi-level actions on SCD aiming at the wide distribution of knowledge, cross border patients support, sharing best practices and foster clinal and patient-centred research.
