The EHA Hybrid Congress is the largest haematology event in Europe and took place in Madrid (Spain) from 13th to 16th of June 2024. The ERN-EuroBloodNet team was present at this major event with a special booth, in various oral & poster sessions and with the dedicated ERN-EuroBloodNet meeting.
During the EHA Congress, the ERN-EuroBloodNet meeting took place on 13 June 2024, focusing on "ERN-EuroBloodNet and ENROL Registry: Boosting data driven research and innovative therapies & fostering best practices and access to highly specialized care".
For this edition, the focus of the meeting was on the following:
1 Session: Data driven research & Innovative therapies; including ENROL registry and data driven research showcases in Sickle Cell Disease, Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura as well as ERN-EuroBloodNet sponsored clinical trials, and
2 Session: Clinical Practice Guidelines & Access to Highly Specialized Care; including ongoing actions for the development of Clinical practice guidelines on Burkitt Lymphoma, Recommendations on Sickle Cell Disease, and patients pathways on Von Willebrand Disease, as well as EU mapping exercises for highly specialized procedures on Thrombosis in paediatrics and access to Paroxismal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria tretaments.

Interesting outcomes have been obtained from the discussions among the 88 attendants, from 45 ERN-EuroBloodNet Healthcare providers and 14 EU Member States. The most represented areas of expertise were red blood cell disorders (40,2%) and Bone marrow failures (15,6%). Discover all of them here!

During the four in-person days of the EHA2024 congress, the ERN-EuroBloodNet Coordination Team had the opportunity to present the current status of ERN-EuroBloodNet activities to the haematology community visiting the dedicated booth, to have fruitful discussions and to disseminate various ongoing actions & projects.

Our Coordination Team also took the opportunity to meet face to face with ePAGs to strengthen the laison and teamwork with the ERN-EuroBloodNet, at the EHA Congress.
