XIV Pediatric Hematology Course "All in Red Betting: on Erythropathology" will take place at ERN-EuroBloodNet Member Sant Joan de Déu Hospital (Barcelona) next 14th March 2025, with Pablo Estival Monteliú and Anna Ruiz Llobet as course directors.
In this edition, the course will address red blood cell pathology in an interdisciplinary manner, including objectives as:
- Review of red blood cell pathophysiology.
- Update on diagnostic techniques in the erythropathology laboratory and their interpretation.
- Deepen the understanding of iron metabolism and management of associated complications.
- Review of the differential diagnosis and management of rare anemias.
- Update on current therapeutic options in the field of erythropathology.
- Strengthen the bond between professionals and patient associations to improve patient care and quality of life.
It is a well-established course that will feature prominent hematologists in the field and will provide an opportunity to expand and consolidate knowledge in the area of erythropathology, as well as to establish working networks with other specialists in erythropathology.
The course will be aimed at pediatricians, hematologists, residents, as well as nurses and healthcare professionals interested in the topic.
Accreditation requested from the Catalan Council for Continuing Education in Health Professions - Continuing Education Commission of the National Health System.
