We are pleased to announce that the ISLH-ERN EuroBloodNet Topic on Focus on Rare Coagulation Disorders, a collaboration between the ERN-EuroBloodNet and the International Society for Laboratory Hematology (ISLH), has successfully concluded earlier this year!
This educational program, specifically designed for healthcare professionals and laboratory specialists, provided a comprehensive overview of rare coagulation disorders and was developed with the collaboration of Prof. Béatrice Gulbis (Laboratoire Hospitalier Universitaire de Bruxelles, Belgium), Prof. Katrien Devreese (Ghent University Hospital, Belgium), and Dr. Chee Wee Tan (Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia).
This topic on focus was structured in a series of three webinars including factor XI deficiency (Dr. Chee Wee Tan), inherited fibrinogen disorders (Prof. Alessandro Casini), and haemophilia A & B (Prof. Flora Peyvandi). The series addressed diagnostic challenges, clinical management, and laboratory techniques, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and real-life clinical cases.
