The ERN-EuroBloodNet Progress Meetings, are organized every autumn by the ERN-EuroBloodNet Coordination team, to promote networking among the hematologic stakeholders with the aim of identifying needs and progress in the field of rare hematological diseases.
The 7th edition of the Progress meeting was held 6th November 2025 online. The Agenda covered a wide range of insightful topics, including ERNs & Joint Partnerships, dissemination, clinical practice guidelines and access to highly specialized care, as well as education, CPMS, registries, and clinical trials.
A total of 148 participants from 67 ERN-EuroBloodNet healthcare providers across 18 EU Member States registered for the meeting. Of these, 77% were member representatives or part of multidisciplinary teams, while 3% were ePAGs and patient representatives. The most represented areas of expertise were red blood cell disorders and bone marrow failure.
The event opened with a welcome message from by Pierre Fenaux (ERN-EuroBloodNet coordinator, AP-HP - Hôpital Saint Louis, Paris) and Béatrice Gulbis (ERN-EuroBloodNet co-coordinator, H.U.B. Hôpital Erasme - ULB, Brussels) who provided and overview of the ERN relevant stakeholders and agenda for the day. This was followed by the opening plenary session, presented by Maria del Mar Mañú Pereira (ERN-EuroBloodNet co-coordinator, Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona), current Vice-Chair of the ERN Coordinators Group (CG).
