ERN-EuroBloodNet is pleased to announce the launch of its new Topic on Focus webinar series, Ageing Well with Rare Bleeding Disorders, designed for patients and their families. This program is launched in collaboration with the patient organisation European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC), represented by ePAG advocate Marius Tanase.
This Topic on Focus forms part of the broader educational program Ageing Project 2025-2026: Living Well, Ageing Well, launched by the EHC on World Geriatric Day (1 October 2025). The EHC initiative aims to explore how to support healthy, active, and fulfilling lives at every stage of ageing for people living with bleeding disorders. The programme is delivered through three complementary formats: webinars, virtual café talks, and peer pioneer podcasts.
The webinar series comprises four sessions that address the challenges of ageing with bleeding disorders through expert-led discussions. Topics include redefining frailty, understanding the impact of ageing on bleeding, and managing cardiovascular and other age-related comorbidities.
The series brings together clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates to promote shared learning across Europe. Each session features a 45-minute expert presentation followed by a 45-minute live Q&A, encouraging interactive learning and meaningful knowledge exchange.
