Get ready for ASCAT 2026!
The Academy for Sickle Cell and Thalassemia (ASCAT) will take place 7-10 October 2026 in London
ERN-EuroBloodNet is pleased to announce its participation in the 21st Annual Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Conference (ASCAT 2026), taking place in London, from 7-10 October 2026. Organised by the Academy for Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia (ASCAT) in collaboration with the European Hematology Association (EHA), the conference is one of the leading international meetings dedicated to sickle cell disease (SCD) and thalassemia, bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, patient advocates, policymakers and industry partners from around the world.
This year marks the eighth consecutive year that ERN-EuroBloodNet has contributed to the conference, having organised the Patients’ Sessions every year since 2019. These sessions have become an established part of the program, providing a dedicated space for people living with sickle cell disease to share experiences, discuss priorities and strengthen the role of the patient voice in research and healthcare.
For the 2026 edition, the RADeep & ERN-EuroBloodNet Patients’ Sessions will focus on Mental Health, addressing the psychological and emotional challenges associated with living with sickle cell disease and highlighting the importance of integrating mental health into comprehensive, person-centred care.
