ERN-EuroBloodNet participation at ASCAT Conference

The Annual Scientific Conference organized by the Academy for Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia (ASCAT) remains a pivotal event in fostering patient-centered dialogue within the scientific community, with the shared goal of improving research, policy, and care for individuals with sickle cell disease.

Is organised in collaboration with the British Society for Haematology and the European Hematology Association (EHA). The event, brings together healthcare professionals, researchers and patient representatives, and issupported by ERN-EuroBloodNet and other key stakeholders.

For sixth consecutive years, the ERN-EuroBloodNet is present at the ASCAT represented by Mariangela Pellegrini, coordinating special sessions focused on sickle cell disease (SCD) patients. These sessions have become a vital space for patients to share their personal experiences, ensuring their voices are central in scientific discussions.
